In the middle of 2015, a game called Oceanhorn was released on Steam and other PC platforms. That game saw an iOS release earlier this year, and received a number of accolades. The game was a collaborative effort between Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros, and Germany’s FDG Entertainment, and strived to recapture the magic of the Zelda and Final Fantasy series, encapsulating their spirit them in a whole new setting.
That game is now heading to PS4 and Xbox One, in what promises to be the definitive version of Oceanhorn – Monster of Uncharted Seas. Ahead of the showing of Oceanhorn at Gamescom, a new trailer has been released that shows off details about this game.
The console edition of the game is based on a remastered PC edition of the game, and features the music of Nobuo Uematsu and Kenji Ito, known best for their respective work on the Final Fantasy and Mana games.
The game itself will take players to the Uncharted Seas, where they’ll face monsters and magic, tackle puzzles and search for the monster that gives the game its title, Oceanhorn.
You can expect to see the full version of the game running in 1080p/60fps at the Xbox booth in Gamescom’s Hall 8.
